Winter Grayling Fishing

Winter Grayling fishing was a new venture for us in 2008 and are happy to continue offering it during December 2009 and January 2010. With the kind permission for the following estates (Ashiestiel, Yair, Fairnilee and Sunderland Hall) we are able to offer winter Grayling fishing from Ashiestiel to Ettrick Foot. All private stretches remain reserved and are marked with notices, consult the Beat Map for further information.

We will run the season from Tuesday December 1st 2009 to Saturday 30th January 2010 (Excluding Sundays).

Ticket prices are as follows:- Day £5.00 Season (as described above) £20.

Grayling Fishing Rules:-

1. Fishing shall be by fly only with a fly rod and reel.
2. Catch and release only
3. No “shuffling”
4. No bait fishing or ground baiting.
5. A detailed catch return of the day and season must be submitted to the Secretary—see catch return for address.
6. Fishing allowed only on the open stretches as per the notice boards.
